Peter Matthiessen is an AMERICAN writer, nature and journeyman who has participated in various interesting expeditions on five continents. He has worked as a professional fisherman and seaman in his youth. There's also the reason he's been constantly interested in the sea. He has written a book "Light Blue Meridian" (1971) about the study of a great white shark and has also made it into the film "Light Blue Meridian, White Death".
